Youth Engagement

Our Youth Engagement work is all about getting people involved – whether that’s going new places and trying new things or meeting up with others who share your interests.

HALE’s social groups, events and activities give young people a safe, structured and supported chance to socialise outside of home or school, do something different and meet new people – building friendships, confidence and skills.

Regular groups meet weekly or monthly and include a ‘Support Squad’ Girls Group, Book Club and Lads Chill Out Group.

Outings range from a trip to Laserzone, Bradford City football matches, the theatre, bowling and Blackpool, while back at the HALE office we hold movie nights, seasonal sessions, cooking and baking, arts and crafts and intergenerational activities.

We plan activities based on what our young people want to do and also regularly involve them in focus groups, giving them the opportunity to have their say in local studies and shape service provision.
