Trustees and Treasurer
We are recruiting for voluntary roles as Trustees and a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.
Whether you’re an experienced Trustee or wanting to take your first step at Board level we would love to talk to you. We’re particularly looking for people who have one or more of the following skills:
- Financial management
- Business and Social Enterprise
- Legal
As a trustee you will get:
- Induction, training and reimbursement of expenses
- Opportunities to share your skills and give back to your local community
- Opportunities to make strategic decisions and learn new skills
The expected time commitment is around 4 hours a month covering formal and informal meetings, events and reading time.

Boys’ Volunteer Youth Group Leader
At HALE we recognise that there are many complex issues that relate to young people. Therefore, we aim to provide services that positively engage young people and use creative approaches to build positive relationships, support needs and increase knowledge, confidence, health and well-being.
We are planning to set up a new boy’s youth group and are looking for a volunteer to support this group. You will get involved with all aspects of running the boy’s youth group- planning and running activities, chatting to young people, preparing refreshments, ensuring everyone feels included.
The skills you’ll need
You will need to have the following skills to participate: Experience working with young people. Good communication skills.

Ladies Group Volunteer
We are looking for a volunteer to support with our ladies’ group. You would help our ladies group continue to be a place for people to make new friends and reduce isolation. The role will involve planning and running activities, chatting to attendees, making drinks and clearing up.
The skills you’ll need
You will need to have the following skills to participate: A suitable volunteer would need to be friendly, easy to talk to and be able to support attendees.

Marketing Volunteer
We are looking for a volunteer to support with marketing. This could include creating social media posts, designing engaging reports or making posters for events. This role would take place at HALE during office hours; we are flexible to discuss convenient days and times. This would be a great role for someone studying marketing or similar courses to gain experience.

You will need to have the following skills to participate: We’re looking for a creative person with marketing skills.
