Bradford S10 Community Partnership

Bradford S10 Community Partnership

The S10 Community Partnership covers Heaton, Frizinghall, Manningham, Allerton, Clayton and Wrose.

Working in partnership with The Bridge Project, BYDP, Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, Leylands Medical Centre and Patient Participation Group, Ashwell Medical Centre, Bradford Care Alliance, Bradford VCS, Bradford City & District CCG, Hollyns Health & Wellbeing, Manor Medical Practice and City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, we are able to pool our collective knowledge around health issues affecting these communities.

Our work in the S10 area aims to reduce loneliness and isolation and increase engagement with the local community through a number of services and activities.

We have a Befriending scheme which supports isolated people with weekly phone calls; and currently host a Zoom Book Club for the S10 area on the first Tuesday evening of every month, in partnership with Bradford Libraries. Contact Senta on 01274 271088 if this is something you may be interested in.

We are always looking to recruit volunteers to our Befriending scheme.  If you could give some time to support an isolated member of your community please get in touch, or find out more here.

Our Engagement workers, Amreen and Ahmida, work throughout the S10 area, chatting with local businesses, sharing messages relating to health and wellbeing, living well and self care and providing information about local resources and services available.  They also run drop in sessions in community venues offering information and advice on the Befriending service, healthy eating, getting active and blood pressure.

We have also awarded South 10 Community Partnership Asset Based Community Development Small Grants Funding to a number of community groups, enabling them to run activities which improve peoples’ health and wellbeing.

Follow us and keep up with what’s going on in the S10 area via Facebook and Twitter.

We produce quarterly newsletters for the S10 area.  You can view them here.
